Presentation Topic: Letters Against Isolation …A new service project of ACCOA
Letters Against Isolation fight senior loneliness one letter at a time. Ellen with Letters Against Isolation will talk about how LAI was started, the impact and how individuals can volunteer.
Volunteers of America Colorado’s Aging & Nutrition Services staff Gayle Larsen will provide information about VOAC’s support services for older adults and VOAC’s AmeriCorps Seniors Volunteer Programs.
ACCoA service project. From 2:30-3:00, ACCoA attendees are invited to write cards / letters to isolated seniors. Optional: Bring cards / stationary for writing your LAI card and donation any leftover supplies to Ellen.
“Parking is limited in the Caley lot, but you may use any part of the lot. You may also park at the Vet clinic on the east side of Caley Ridge in the GRAVELED PORTION ONLY. They do not allow parking on the paved part of their lot. You may also park next door (south side of Caley) at Boston Commons providing you do not use their covered parking.”
